We are all created in the image of God, to reflect His image among creation. Yet, we are all tempted to sin and follow the ways of the world He created. God doesn’t leave us or forsake us though. In His eyes, we are all His children.
It doesn’t matter what nation you were born into or what color your skin may be. He loves us all the same. He teaches, guides, and disciplines us in His way. When our sinful hearts take over and the battle over temptations rage, He is ready to lead us into victory! It is through His Word, through prayer and through the help of others, that each of us may be strong enough to overcome the sinful way of the world and instead begin to live a life that is glorifying to Him, showing the world what He is like.
As the nations around us continue to rage in these days, be thankful that there are people in each of those nations who are still standing side by side victoriously in heart transformation. Please continue to pray for the many men and women who lead the SGA-supported rehabilitation centers. The battle rages on daily, but God brings peace to hearts.
Here is a report from the director of one center in Israel . . .
We continue our ministry at the rehabilitation center. We have a Jewish man, Itsik, and an Ethiopian man, Yohanes in our program now. Yohanes is the son of an Ethiopian pastor. Together these men wash the floors at our center. Thank you for your prayers. God is changing them. I also brought someone new on Shabbat, a new person suffering from addiction. He was very ill, constantly lying on the couch, an evil spirit tormented him. Prayers and the Word of God are our only help.
There is also a guy from Moldova, a young guy, who served in the Israeli army but then became a drug addict. We try to save such people. I brought him to the rehabilitation center and to church. He repented. Now he is very happy. We currently have a study of the Word of God. In our group there is an Arab, a Jewish man, an Ethiopian, a Moldovan. We help everyone.
