For many of us in America, the cold has settled in. Along with that, our heaters are running. It does not take long before we are thankful for access to heat. But such access is not certain for many people in Ukraine today, as more than 50 percent of their electrical grid is destroyed. Also, rolling blackouts have become commonplace.
But when caring friends like you generously support our Ukraine Winter Heat & Hope Campaign, we are able to assist SGA-supported churches with essential supplies such as firewood. These simple, life-saving objects offer physical relief during the cold winter months. But they also offer an opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel. Here are words from one grateful church in Ukraine:
Dear friends!
[Our church] is very grateful for your financial support for the purchase of fuel briquettes for heating the House of Prayer. This is a timely help for us and a great joy that we are not alone in this difficult time. May the Lord bless you for the work you do.
With love and gratitude, the church elder and members
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, and hygiene supplies.
