Editor’s Note: An SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine provides the following testimony.

Were it not for the war in Ukraine, who knows when or even if a displaced woman named Oksana would have heard about God. But she did through the outreach of an SGA-supported church!

Oksana shares:

“I fled my hometown occupied by the [the invaders] with my family. We didn’t want to leave home. We didn’t want to leave everything we had gained to the last, but living under occupation turned out to be more difficult than living under the rule of aggressive invaders. It is difficult for me to recall the details of our escape, and I will never forget these terrible hours of abuse.

“Now we rent an apartment, my husband works, my son is studying, and my daughter has her own family, and they live separately . . . I found out that here at [an SGA-supported church in a different region] we can get food and support. Thank you for telling me about God and His care for us. It is very, very hard for us now . . . Thank you for your help.”

As each bag of groceries and aid is delivered to a soul in need, God is working. The generosity of friends like you helps to equip SGA-supported churches to meet urgent physical needs and make possible more moments like this that help open the door to sharing the Gospel. May many more hurting lives be drawn to faith in Jesus Christ!
