In our modern world, without electricity, life comes to a standstill. Yet we know that Jesus is a beautiful light in times of great darkness—and so is his church! Jesus said, I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life (John 8:12).
Recently, SGA-supported missionary pastors were able to bring the light of Jesus to their communities in more ways than one! Thanks to friends like you, Pastor Viktor and his congregation took to the road in Ukraine to visit remote churches and bless them with utilizing SGA-provided Solar Power Survival Sets. The impact of these sets is huge in the community, as neighbors are able to charge their smart phones, flashlights, and essential devices. Read his report below as he describes what a difference your support has made in bringing people, electricity, help, and hope through the light of Christ… the church!
“Dear brothers and sisters,
The new solar panels and components that arrived proved especially valuable today, in the days of war in our country, when electricity can be out at any time. We use this panel as a stationary source of alternative power at our House of Prayer to charge smartphones, USB flashlights, LED lighting, and other low-power devices. We also use this system as a mobile power point. We take it with us on the road and use it to charge low-power devices in places where there is no electricity.
This system helps the believers of our church family, other churches, and non-believers as well. Therefore, it is a great tool for evangelism that allows us to take the first steps to a non-believer, encouraging them to come to the House of Prayer, church, and to Christ! We are bringing these systems into places of great need during a time of war. You can see in some pictures where we’ve assembled a unit that powers the LED spotlight and the mobile phone.
We are sincerely grateful to the Lord and to you for providing us with an alternative electricity system! Thank you!”
Sincerely,
Pastor Viktor
