The decreasing population of Moldova since the fall of the Soviet Union has left a shortage of young men pursuing full-time Christian ministry. Many pastors have to preach at multiple churches on one Sunday, travelling all day to visit each location and preach the word. These faithful servants are exhausted. But they have not given up and want to reach the next generation of children who still don’t know Jesus and greatly need to learn from God’s Word.
Recently, SGA President Michael Johnson visited several churches in Moldova to see how God’s people are still flourishing despite the lack of Christian leaders. He also engaged with many excited boys and girls at several Immanuel’s Child events where these children heard God’s story of love and the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Please pray with us that God will raise up more pastors and missionaries to preach the Gospel in the Moldovan Church. And stand with SGA as we seek the Father’s wisdom and His provision for more training of church and ministry leaders in Moldova.
