Editor’s Note: The image, video and report below were provided by a village mayor in Ukraine.

In one Ukrainian village, the churches we serve have been destroyed in the war. There is no pastor, and only a few Christians remain. But the Solar Power Survival System provided by generous friends like you has been turned over to the village mayor to provide emergency help for his suffering community. He is grateful for your kindness and sends his message of thanks . . .

The solar panel is now at the point of steadfastness [in our village in the frontline region] and is helping those who remained here . . . Many thanks to the good people from America for this valuable thing, for understanding all our sufferings and helping us in everything!

[Our village] used to be very crowded before, and now there are ruins everywhere, the result of the occupiers’ air raids. Despite all the heavy shelling, there are still a few people in the city, mostly pensioners, and they do not want to leave. Some of them even have a small garden here.

Unfortunately, the entire infrastructure of the town was destroyed. All kindergartens and schools have been damaged. Explosions are still heard here. A few old people stay in the city. Therefore, we are very grateful that we can use your solar systems, as here is no electricity at all.

Sincerely, the mayor of the city
Serge

Here is a video of one of the destroyed Houses of Prayer . . .

Translation:

This is Gulyaypole, and this is the House of Prayer. There was a close hit here and we see such damages in the church. Everything looks so sad. We will need to repair it all. The explosion wave smashed all the windows and damaged the doors. We can see that the worship hall has almost all survived.

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
