Editor’s Note: The report, video and images below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

Humanitarian aid—made possible through the generosity of friends like you who support SGA—was recently delivered by van to Kherson. The Nova Kakhovka dam destruction caused the Dnipro River to flood into Kherson earlier this month, causing tens of thousands to flee their homes. Others were stranded and unable to evacuate.

As God leads and provides, SGA-supported Pastor Dima and Pastor Vlad will continue to transport emergency supplies to this region to distribute through SGA-supported churches. Here is what Dima experienced and shared with us from the first delivery of SGA-sponsored aid to Kherson . . .

  • The water in Kherson is gradually lowering.
  • The majority of people are already safe.
  • Half of the volunteers who take an active part in this process are church people.
  • People are provided with food, accommodation and first aid very quickly.
  • The situation with the shelling is difficult. The opposition is actively shelling the evacuation points, and this confuses the whole process.

Here is a video of the emergency supplies before transport . . .

Look at the aftermath of the flooding . . .

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
