Editor’s Note: The following report is provided by SGA’s Senior Vice President of Ministry Operations, Eric Mock.

Amid the screams of missiles and the hum of drones, a Ukrainian church plant is living by faith and feasting on the Word of God.

In a recent ministry trip to meet with SGA-supported pastors, Eric Mock visited a Ukrainian church plant that has gathered together for a Bible study—which they now hold twice a week. The birth of this local church began last Christmas, through the outreach of Immanuel’s Child—a SGA event that brings thousands of boys and girls together to hear about Jesus, receive Christmas gifts, and get plugged into biblically sound churches.

Pastor Boris, a former drug addict, has been with the church since the beginning, and now leads the growing congregation in reaching the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. SGA aid, made possible through the generosity of friends like you, continues the outreach of this precious flock. And there are big plans for the future. Speaking with Boris, we heard his heart to start a new drug rehab center to reach the needy downtown area. It’s hope-filled vision to communicate the Good News of God’s love to those desperate to hear it.

God continues to work, not only in this church plant, but in the surrounding area. There are now six SGA-supported church plants like this in the region of Ukraine. Please continue to pray that God will continue to provide for churches in Ukraine and change more hearts for eternity through Gospel outreach.

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary and SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, and hygiene supplies.
