Though conflict between Israel and Hamas continues, God is still opening the door for Gospel conversations. SGA-supported ministries like the rehabilitation centers Pastor Sergei directs in southern and central Israel are pressing on as they help meet the physical and spiritual needs of hurting Israelis. We rejoice with Sergei for each life touched by the message of salvation and pray that many more hearts will soften and turn to the Lord.
Read more from this faithful servant’s report below, and please lift up pastors and other believers involved in life-changing ministry in Israel. May they look to Jesus—the Messiah—whose power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Sergei writes . . .
Dear friends, we are greeting you. And right away we want to express our deep gratitude to you for your support as we are serving addicts and vulnerable people in Israel. Especially this is relevant in the last few months, when war began in Israel’s southern city, located just five miles from the border, where our rehabilitation center is subject to active rocket attacks.
Despite the shelling and martial law, we, the center’s employees and volunteers, continued our work with people undergoing rehabilitation, not leaving our guys alone. We continue our ministry in central Israel, where we feed and evangelize the homeless. Moreover, in these difficult days for Israel, our guys and I provided assistance to several local churches in food delivery and necessary items for the poor and needy. We were able to visit and support our former rehabilitators, who are now returning to normal life.
All this and much more, which is not written about, became possible thanks to you, dear friends. Thank you for supporting our ministry. May the Lord richly bless you, your families and your desire to help the ministry of the Gospel in Israel.
