Editor’s Note: The report and images below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

In the ministry report below, you’ll see a picture of how the family of God works together. With only 12 members, this SGA-supported church is still laboring side by side with us for God’s glory. All the support efforts here in the United States, in Poland and across Ukraine made it possible for an embattled church to preach the Gospel to people who, for the most part, don’t know we exist and care for their needs. They just know this local church cares for them and tells them a message of hope through Jesus Christ.

The family of God is amazing and such a blessing. Churches like this are so essential to the mission of SGA and to the family of God! Be encouraged as you read how the Lord is working through a small group of believers to help Ukrainians in need . . .

We greet you sincerely, friends!

Our local church has only 12 members.

Following the words of Jesus Christ: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), our church today preaches the Gospel, holds evangelistic meetings, as well as with the displaced people. In the first days of the war, we helped 60 IDPs [internally displaced persons], and they were people with different ages. In addition to food aid, we have held and continue to hold evangelistic meetings with them. But over a period of time, the number of these people decreased due to the relocation of many. Currently, we are serving about 15 IDPs. Seven people regularly attend our church. We work with the rest in their areas of living. These people are mostly elderly people and cannot get to our church on their own, so we go to them!

We have a Sunday school, which is also attended by IDP children. Today we have 19 children in our Sunday school. The goal of our ministry to such people is to lead them to Christ, and this is the most important focus for us now. Secondly, we help in any way we can, including with food that we receive from SGA and supporters who donate so much. May the merciful Lord richly bless all the brothers and sisters who work in this charitable field. The Lord is rich in His grace and mercy, and He will surely reward all of you for your invaluable work and service before His face! To God be the glory!

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
