In this ministry report below from SGA-supported Pastor Bohdan, you will read of great thankfulness to God for His provision through the generosity of friends like you. 

God is mightily providing in these desperate days, and turning many hearts toward Himself. That is the amazing paradox of these days in Ukraine—that in the worst of times it is often that many finally turn to God in saving faith. Often, when it seems someone’s world is falling apart, that is when God is drawing them closer and leading them into an even greater relationship with Him. 

Greetings in the Lord, dear friends and SGA workers! 

I would like to sincerely and personally thank you all for the food aid provided to our people who are displaced in our area. Our church also helps many retired and disabled people in our area. When we distribute food aid to people, we encourage them and tell them about God’s love. We deliver the aid to villages near the border and to those villages that have been occupied and affected by [invaders]. We see many open-minded people who have experienced horror and suffering. Many people have become Christians, the Lord has given them salvation, they have a new life in Jesus. 

During the war, our church organized and started two new churches in different villages, and today we have eight Bible study groups. The Lord allows us to see and hear all the people here who are broken spiritually, physically and morally. They all need the Lord!

We are grateful to you for your concern, for helping and blessing us, the pastors, to serve such broken lives. May God bless SGA’s work always!

Mykola

Mykola’s town was under occupation, hiding from the explosions in the basement. His house was partially destroyed by shrapnel from the explosions. As a church, we were among the first who started to help him: we brought him food, medicine, and helped him repair his house. He was very touched when he heard the Gospel and that it was God Himself who was taking care of him. His life changed for the better after that. He trusts in the Lord and attends church services and a Bible study group. Most importantly, he was baptized by faith in Jesus Christ!

Ivan

Ivan is an old man from the village of Novyi Bykiv. During the occupation, he was under attack, and his house was destroyed. Since we started visiting them, we have always preached the Gospel whenever possible and provided them with food, medicine, and clothing. When we asked him how he felt seeing the Lord helping people, he cried with joy. He is very grateful for the help and comes to the church worship services that are held in their village.

Anna and Natalia

On the left is Anna and on the right is Natalia. The church has been helping them for more than a year now. Their hearts are opened to studying the Bible. They attend all the church services that are held in their village. They were pleasantly surprised to find out that it is God who helps them, through the church, and most importantly, that it is free with the help. Natalia has already been baptized, and Anna is in the process of getting to be baptized. They are grateful to God and the mission for the help, for hearing the Word of God, and being strengthened in their faith.

Lyudmila

Translation:

Good afternoon. My name is Lyudmila, and I want to express my gratitude, first of all, to God and to you for the great help we are constantly being provided with, both moral and material. We are sincerely grateful for your ministry that you are taking care of us, the residents and IDPs in our village. People who have a great soul and who love God, they should do good, support us, because we have endured the occupation not in words but in deeds. We lived in very difficult circumstances. Therefore, your organization, which provides such assistance, you all fulfill a great humanitarian mission. We are very grateful to you! Glory to God!

Translation:

I am grateful to God! I am grateful to the mission for being so generous and giving us so much food and clothes here. We are grateful to God for everything!
