The Lords Unique Opportunity To Evangelize

In his report and letter of thanks below, SGA-supported Pastor Viktor writes with heartfelt gratefulness for the SGA-sponsored aid they are able to provide and shares how the Gospel is going forth

Please note one important point that Viktor shares: “Thanks to humanitarian aid, we served and are serving people in need—fulfilling the mission of Christ. Through these circumstances, the Lord has opened to us a unique opportunity to evangelize people with love, deeds and words, morally and prayerfully supporting the weary.”

This is why we do what we do.  To God be the glory in His church and in Christ Jesus! Read more from Viktor . . .

Dear friends in the Lord!

Our church is a relatively new church that was founded in 2005. At the very beginning of its opening we had only 15 people. God has blessed and every year people joined the church. There were over 50 church members and those who attended would come as well.

Since the beginning of the war, our city has been a frontline zone, we always hear the cannonades of different fire weapons. Rockets fly right into the city, there are many destroyed homes, apartments, lives, families. As soon as rockets, bombs, shells flew, with God’s help we were able to equip our church room as a bomb shelter, as it is a semi-basement. The sisters from our church always minister to the people during the air raid sirens, they open the House of Prayer and we all rush there, and there we read the Word of God, sing, pray, and spend time with the children. When many people from the occupied territories started coming to our church, we made a shower room, a kitchen, a room with beds for rest, and other sleeping places in our church.

Thanks to humanitarian aid, we served and are serving people in need—fulfilling the mission of Christ. Through these circumstances, the Lord has opened to us a unique opportunity to evangelize people with love, deeds and words, morally and prayerfully supporting the weary. The sisters from the church at home cook borscht, make dumplings, pies, bake sweets for the needy and refugees. We have been conducting our ministry in this rhythm for 16 months.  Many people were afraid and many from our church with small children left to other parts of Ukraine or abroad. But those who stayed in the church are active in the ministry. Praise the Lord! Life, in spite of everything, continues. We are holding services as usual, Bible study groups, prayer meetings, classes with children. Many unbelievers come to these meetings and fellowships.

We are grateful to the Lord for everything! He miraculously protects His children, cares for us, strengthens us, and blesses our church!

We need your prayers and material support. We thank God for everything!

Pastor Viktor

A letter of thanks to SGA

Our small church sincerely thanks the Lord and SGA, and all sponsors who are not indifferent to the Ukrainian grief! We are thankful for the very timely help in the form of food packages for distribution to people at the evangelistic ministries. Most of our region is now under occupation. Our city is always under shelling. Many plants, factories, and businesses have been closed or evacuated. There is no work, people are poor, in very difficult financial circumstances. The Lord especially blesses His children through the ministry of SGA, other missions, charitable foundations, and simply through believers—people who love the Lord. We thank Heavenly Father for all of this!

In our city, as in many cities where there is constant shelling, there are always financial difficulties, shortages of food and personal hygiene products. But the Lord disposes your hearts, dear friends, and gives the leadership of the mission special wisdom to participate in our needs and serve our people. May the Lord reward you all according to His generosity and grace! Thanks to your help, our church is able to distribute food packages and prepare meals for the needy.

All these circumstances have led many unbelievers to our church, some of whom have already been baptized and have become church members. And you also helped us to make such a great feast for them, to prepare a special meal for them.

We sincerely and always thank the Lord and you, dear friends. May the Lord reward everyone with strength, good health, and prosperity! God’s protection to all of you!
