Contributing To The Needs Of The Saints 1

What a blessing it is to see God’s people living out Romans 12:10-13: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

When you give generously and intercede for hurting Ukrainians as the war continues, you are contributing to the needs of the saints! Your support helps provide humanitarian aid to SGA- supported pastors like Mykhailo.

Mykhailo and his church began ministering to another village and distributed emergency supplies with the love of Christ. Jacob is a deacon at a church in this village, and in his message of gratitude below he shares how grateful the people are where he lives. Read more and see how the service and hospitality of Mykhailo’s church has impacted one life in particular in Jacob’s village for the Lord . . .

My name is Jacob, and I am the deacon who is responsible for the ministry in a village located on the border with Russia. The group of believers in the village is about 8 to 12 people.

When the full-scale war in Ukraine started, a team of volunteers from the “Light of the Gospel” church from Sumy actively worked in our village. Several residents of the village began to regularly attend the church meetings. And even when 50 percent of the village population was evacuated to Sumy, because of the constant shelling, these people began to attend the central church “Light of the Gospel” in Sumy.

Within a year, one woman began to come to our meetings regularly. She diligently studied the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit touched her heart one day. Katerina (her name) repented and now is preparing for baptism. From the bottom of our hearts, we are very grateful to our brother, Pastor Mykhailo and SGA for the humanitarian aid. May God richly bless you and your ministry!

With gratitude,
