Thanks to support from friends like you, SGA-supported churches in Ukraine are providing Bibles and New Testaments to community members facing hardship. One of these members is Anna. As a single mother of four children, Anna knows what it’s like to struggle on a daily basis. Overwhelmed and alone, she struggles to support her family. SGA-supported ministers gave her a New Testament, offering God’s peace in the midst of hardship.
There are so many single parents and children needing help in Ukraine and the surrounding areas affected by the war. Your support helps provide aid, encouragement, community, and the message of the Gospel in situations like Anna’s where things seem hopeless. As you read Viktor’s story below about meeting Anna, please pray that God will provide a way for her to make ends meet, and that God will continue to use the local church to offer comfort and hope to single mothers and parents who have nowhere else to turn…
“This is Anna. She was once placed in one of the biggest adoptive families, which was engaged in circus arts! At the age of 24, Anna has four kids. Only one of her daughters, the eldest, is enrolled in kindergarten. The rest of her children are at home, so this mommy has to take care of them without the opportunity to get a job. The family lives in a rented home. Anna was telling us with pain in her voice about her mother, who was not interested in her before or now. She complained to us about her children being always active and restless. Her struggles are very real.
After thanking us for the groceries and the New Testament we provided her, Anna immediately and busily sorted out the groceries. She particularly appreciated the condensed milk and promised us that she would read the New Testament.”
