Editor’s Note: The images below were provided by an SGA-supported church in Ukraine.
In a recent report received from the SGA-supported network of churches in the Baptist Union, we received an account about a time of intense hardship. Tragically, the people of Ukraine have experienced such immense sorrow. Brothers and sisters in Christ have suffered, sometimes intensely for their faith. In the brief report below, the few words and photo speak to the power of hope found in Christ even amidst great pain. Please continue to keep the people of Ukraine in your prayers. Pray that the hope of Christ will be a light for all to endure such dark times.
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are finding more facts of crimes against our people during this war. After our region was de-occupied, we found the headquarters that were used as a prison and a torture place.
The Lord’s prayer (“Our Father”) was scratched there on the wall, written by victims of violence during the extremely difficult times in their lives.
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
