Immanuel’s Child is an opportunity to introduce children and their families to the everlasting love of Jesus Christ. Through this ministry, SGA-supported churches distribute a Star of Bethlehem ornament, a Children’s Bible, and a special gift to orphans, abused children, war refugees, and young people in dire need. The ornaments are beautiful decorations–but also a symbol of hope and a reminder that God is with them; just as the name “Immanuel” implies.
These are treasured by kids who often
feel unloved. Even in the middle of
summer, our workers will find children
with an ornament hung on their wall!
They know someone is praying for
them and treasure such a gift.
Their first ever Bible—along with
Christian literature to help as church
workers follow up. Whole families and
communities are transformed!
They are purchased locally and lovingly prepared and presented by community church workers.
But the impact doesn’t stop with Christmas. And Immanuel’s Child is only the beginning. Kids and families get plugged into weekly Bible studies and biblically sound churches, where they continue to grow spiritually—long after the ornaments are hung and the gifts are unwrapped.
At a Muslim-staffed hospital in Central Asia, resistance melted to an SGA-supported church’s Immanuel’s Child outreach . . . and within two years, HALF the staff and many pediatric patients were proclaiming Jesus as God and turning to Christ and Christianity!
In the vast tundra of Siberia, Immanuel’s Child church teams drove more than 900 miles to give Star of Bethlehem ornaments, presents, Christmas presentations, and the Gospel to more than 1,000 children. Many children were saved!
This year, the need is greater than ever. SGA-supported churches are preparing to reach more than 70,000 hurting children with the message of God’s love. The number of children excitedly waiting for Immanuel’s Child continues to grow. We need your help so that every child is reached.
